What is lymphatic drainage?
Who is it for?
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle style of bodywork that supports your lymphatic system, which is the part of your body responsible for moving waste, reducing swelling, and supporting your immune system. It helps reduce fluid retention, improve circulation, and accelerate recovery. It does not have its own pump like your blood and circulatory system, so it moves primarily through movement, breathing, and jumping.
MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE
Lymphatic Drainage can be for everyone, but knowing the right time, the right reason, and the right methods to go about it are just as important as knowing about the modality itself. A post operative patient is going to have a different experience than someone who has a swollen ankle or someone else who has an inflammatory response in their body compared to someone who is just bloated. The techniques are similar, but the experience and the touch is person dependent.
There are many types of lymphatic drainage- even normal massage has a lymphatic effect. The techniques learned here are results-focused and tailored to each client’s specific needs.
